Convert the unusual HDI-45 video port on first-generation Power Macintosh systems to Macintosh DA-15 or VGA-style HD-15 output.

For this platform (bus/interface): The open project documents both variants for the Power Macintosh 6100, 7100, and 8100. JCM additionally lists the passive DA-15 version for Performa 6110-6118, Power Macintosh 8115, and Workgroup Server 8150. On the 7100 and 8100, nearby obstructions prevent full insertion; the maker tested an 8100 successfully and expects the 7100 to work. VGA monitor timing, supported resolution, and available modes still depend on the exact host and its VRAM.

JCM showed five DA-15 adapters and seven HD-15 adapters in stock on 2026-07-24. The open designs remain buildable under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license. The HDI-45 pins are unusually thin and flexible, and the project strongly recommends its printed case for pin alignment and stability.
