For this platform (bus/interface): This tester is for removed one-bit DRAM chips identified by the maker as 4096, 4108, 4116, D2118, 4516, 4332 or 4432, 4532, 4164, and 41256. It is not attached to a C64 or other vintage-computer page merely because those machines may use a supported chip. Follow the special 4332 or 4432 and D2118 procedures, and never select a type solely from package size.

Tindie listed seven units at USD 28 on 2026-07-30. Its extracted United States shipping panel was contradictory, showing no rate alongside other shipping text, so confirm destination eligibility and total cost before ordering. The tester requires 5 VDC through USB-C. The manual warns that selecting the wrong RAM can apply destructive voltages; identify the part and verify its datasheet and pinout before starting a test.

Standalone USB-powered tester for checking DIP-40 Intel 8086 processors outside a computer.

For this platform (bus/interface): Use only a DIP-40 Intel 8086 inserted in the ZIF socket with pin 1 correctly oriented. Power the board from a PC or 5 V USB charger through a user-supplied Mini-USB Type-B cable. No support for 8088, surface-mount 8086 variants, or compatible third-party processors is claimed.

Retro Electronics listed the assembled tester out of stock on 2026-07-25. The 8086 CPU and Mini-USB Type-B power cable are not included.

For this platform (bus/interface): This is a standalone tester for removed memory chips, not an accessory connected to a vintage computer. Consult the current supported-type table before inserting a part. A 4116 needs the published adapter, some 20-pin ZIP types need an adapter, and 2114 SRAM is inserted in the documented 180-degree orientation. The maker also warns that its 5 V CMOS drive levels can let a marginal chip pass even if it fails at calibrated TTL thresholds.

The repository was active on 2026-07-20 and documents firmware 5.0.7. It links ready-made routes at AmiBay, Lectronz, eBay, and Tindie plus a PCBWay through-hole board, but those sellers were not independently checked for stock in this pass. Hardware is CERN-OHL-S v2 and firmware is GPLv3. Builders may use through-hole or surface-mount files and must select or build any required adapter for the exact package.
