The Tindie page reported one unit in stock on 2026-07-27. A 600XL supplies power through its parallel bus. Most 800XL computers do not, so the board provides a jumper-selectable USB-C or wired 5 V input. Follow the seller's internal-versus-external power procedure and jumper setting for the exact computer.

Uses an STM32 and SD media as a mature open Atari ST hard-drive emulator with ACSI, disk-image, and GemDrive modes.

The upstream project describes hardware and software version 5.00 as finished and mature. Its release package contains files for ordering a compact board with assembly, but the builder must flash it initially with a 3.3 V-compatible USB-to-UART adapter and supply 5 V USB-C power, media, and an optional CR2032. Firmware 1.x, 2.x, and 3.0-or-later boards have different compatibility paths; the current compact design should use the matching current firmware. Lotharek's separate four-slot ACSI2STM Redux case design remained not yet available on 2026-07-27 and is not represented as a current assembled seller.

Its extracted United States shipping panel was contradictory, showing no rate alongside other shipping text, so confirm destination eligibility and total cost before ordering. The tester requires 5 VDC through USB-C. The manual warns that selecting the wrong RAM can apply destructive voltages; identify the part and verify its datasheet and pinout before starting a test.

Older TOS versions can be slower or unsafe with DOS-compatible media, and some Atari DMA circuits or modern high-capacity card pairs need the documented troubleshooting or clock-capacitor fix. The optional DUCKBILL flasher requires a direct, bidirectional PC parallel port and Windows XP DOS console.
