Rabbit Hole Computing's current all-products collection listed the assembled adapter without a sold-out marker on 2026-07-24. The GPL-licensed firmware and UF2 update path are public. The adapter requires a NeXT Soundbox or monitor with the five-pin non-ADB input path.

Replaces the ball mechanism in an original Apple ADB Mouse or ADB Mouse II with an adjustable optical sensor while retaining the ADB interface.

For this system (exact model): The maker explicitly tested a NeXTstation Turbo equipped with an ADB port. This does not apply to the original five-pin non-ADB keyboard and mouse connection used by other NeXTstation configurations.

Both $72.99 variants were out of stock on 2026-07-27: the Mouse II board since May 25 and the original wedge board since July 18. Match the replacement to the exact shell and board shape before ordering. The original ADB cable is required, and installation may require moving its four wires or connector. The USB-C connector changes settings and firmware; it does not turn the mouse into a USB device.
