This is not a generic plug-and-play USB port: support depends on Atari-side drivers. Atarimax still describes the software as early beta, and the MicroUSB project's substantive status notes are historical, so check the device matrix and exact driver before buying hardware for a particular peripheral.

HIDHopper Base, Base with USB Hub Hat, and Hub Hat-only selections could be added to the JCM cart on 2026-07-24.
