Modding Dome was accepting backorders on 2026-07-30, with shipping expected on 2026-08-24. The donor iMac and M4 Mac mini must be supplied separately. The maker names only the current M4 Mac mini and the 17-inch 1GHz or 1.25GHz iMac G4; other iMac sizes and revisions are future plans rather than current compatibility.

Mounts donor Apple IIgs electronics inside a compatible Apple IIe case.

The MacEffects page said Sold out on 2026-07-24. The user must provide a ROM 00 or ROM 01 IIgs logic board, keyboard, power supply, and plastic case. Unless ordered preinstalled, the power and keyboard connectors require soldering. Very early IIe cases with white keyboard legends are incompatible.
