| AvailableChecked Jul 27, 2026 | Pico Micro Mac (v2)by Matt Evans and Ron McAdams | Runs a purpose-built Macintosh 128K emulator on a Raspberry Pi Pico with monochrome VGA and USB keyboard and mouse input. For this compatible system (exact system): This is the compatible system itself. The default build emulates a 128 KB Macintosh using a patched Mac Plus v3 ROM, with the native 512x342 monochrome image centered in 640x480 VGA output. Experimental builds can use up to about 208 KB and a larger framebuffer, but those configurations do not correspond to a real Macintosh model and can expose software incompatibilities. Juicy Crumb exposed an Add to cart path for the assembled v2 carrier and an optional in-stock Raspberry Pi Pico on 2026-07-27. Check whether the selected package includes the Pico. A working setup also needs 5 V power, a VGA display or converter, USB OTG cable, mouse, and usually a keyboard or hub. The default flash-backed disk is read-only; writable storage requires a separately built SPI SD-card path. Building firmware from source requires a legally obtained compatible Macintosh ROM and disk image.
