Build itChecked Jul 27, 2026C64 Component Video Modificationby c0pperdragon

Generates configurable YPbPr or RGB from VIC-II bus activity with an FPGA while retaining improved composite and S-Video output.

VideoGamePerfection's EUR 60.00 kit was out of stock on 2026-07-27, but the complete open design remains buildable and upstream firmware 2.12 was released on 2026-07-03. This is a substantial soldering installation, and the original RF output is removed.

Sold outChecked Jul 24, 2026GS2HD Component Video Adapterby GGLABS

Converts Apple IIgs 15 kHz analog RGB to YPbPr component video for compatible televisions.

The GGLABS Tindie store was taking a break on 2026-07-24, so no current order could be placed. The display must have component inputs and explicitly accept 240p; GS2HD does not upscale the IIgs signal to a modern scan rate and does not provide HDMI.

AvailableChecked Jul 30, 2026RetroTINK-2X and 2X Proby RetroTINK / Mike Chi

Line-doubles standard-definition composite, S-Video, or component video for modern digital displays with no added latency.

The original RetroTINK-2X is a retired predecessor; the current 2X Pro was orderable for $139.99 on 2026-07-30. It accepts only 240p, 288p, 480i, and 576i and does not accept 480p or higher input. Supply the correct source-system cable, a digital video cable, and a 5 V / 1 A USB power source; a Micro-USB cable is included. RetroTINK warns that composite sources can produce low output and recommends S-Video or component when available.
