Adds a DE10-Nano Linux coprocessor, 1080p HDMI video, DMA, storage, networking, and a framebuffer overlay to a Commodore 64.

The project remains under construction and its current releases are alpha previews. Carrier Gerbers, a BOM, placement data, and preview releases are available, but a DE10-Nano or compatible MisterPi board and the supplied SD image are also required. Change the default Debian root password before connecting it to a network.

Connects a modern Mac or Linux computer directly to vintage LocalTalk computers and peripherals over USB.

JCM showed 181 assembled units in stock on 2026-07-24. A standard Macintosh crossover serial cable or a LocalTalk dongle is still required; a straight-through serial cable will not work. TailTalk describes itself as a work-in-progress prototype and currently expects a routerless AppleTalk setup.
