AvailableChecked Jul 24, 2026BurgerDisk / DominoDiskby Colin Leroy and Joe's Computer Museum

Provides a daisy-chainable SmartPort hard disk backed by one to four ProDOS images on microSD.

Joe's Computer Museum showed 33 assembled DominoDisk units in stock on 2026-07-24. The Mini BurgerDisk page also exposes an assembled selector, while the public project supplies firmware, PCB, schematic, and enclosure files for a DIY build. Follow Apple's device-order rules in a daisy chain; a Liron card cannot drive a 5.25-inch drive.

Combines SmartPort block-device support and selectable Disk II floppy-controller operation.

The base controller option was out of stock on 2026-07-24; the page still offered extension cables separately. A cable alone is not a usable controller.

AvailableChecked Jul 27, 2026SmartDisk IIby vibr77 and innoelement

Emulates Disk II, UniDisk 3.5, and SmartPort storage from an SD card with an STM32F411.

The project README linked a current assembled eBay listing on 2026-07-27 and also publishes a complete build path. An innoelement assembled variant showed six units on Tindie, but that page simultaneously displayed a shipping rate and said it did not ship to the United States; confirm checkout availability before relying on it. Match the board revision, bootloader, and firmware: bootloader 0.15 has an Apple IIgs SmartPort problem, and boards older than Revision 3 need a trace modification for Apple IIc or IIgs use. Use a quality FAT32 SD card with 32 KB clusters. Never connect an ST-Link programmer while either USB or the Apple II powers the board.
