The box contains only the board. Kickstart and Workbench 1.3 or newer can autoboot without a patched scsi.device. A socketed CPU makes installation simple, but an unsocketed CPU must be desoldered. Pin 1 must be observed when attaching CF or SD hardware because a reversed adapter can destroy the CPLD. The open repository documents the original A500 design, while the current seller alone claims A500 Plus support for its revised hardware.

The upstream project describes hardware and software version 5.00 as finished and mature. Current seller checks on 2026-07-27 found a $39 internal 50-pin Pico 2 W kit, a $49 assembled external DB-25 model, a $49 PowerBook model, and a $59 assembled Ultra Narrow 50-pin model at authorized seller ToTs RETRO. JCM also carried assembled Ultra hardware and model-specific Macintosh adapters. Prices, stock, included media, and support differ by seller. Ultra models require Berg or Molex power and cannot run from SCSI termination power. The initial Ultra hardware release is not yet open hardware, although its firmware remains GPL; the project says hardware licensing will open later.

JCM showed 16 Apple II base units in stock on 2026-07-24. On 2026-07-27 Lotharek offered its assembled Atari Professional version both alone and with a dedicated SIO cable. It normally takes operating power from Atari SIO and uses USB-C for firmware flashing, although the page separately calls USB-C an optional power source for the 1200XL. The project also lists other small-batch vendors and open design files. Stock, enclosure, connection, power, and required interface hardware vary by computer.

The maker page exposed direct eBay, Sphere Cube, and Arcade Shopper purchase routes on 2026-07-30. Tavily could not independently extract the exact eBay or Sphere Cube destinations, recorded as WF-044 and WF-045, so confirm current stock before ordering. A user-supplied 5 V micro-USB supply is required; the SD card, serial cable, and computer-specific adapters are not included.

All fourteen Rev C, Rev F, and MAX hardware variants exposed current login-or-register-to-buy paths on 2026-07-27. Rev C and Rev F use a standard floppy 5 V supply; the manual specifies at least 400 mA and says the 12 V line is unused. MAX accepts either 5 V over Micro-USB or 7-12 V center-positive DC power. All five Lotharek Slim variants exposed current login-or-register-to-buy paths on 2026-07-27. Choose the 34-pin HE10 or 1 mm 26-pin FPC version for the host; the 26-pin form requires the manual's ID0A setting. Supply regulated 5 V and verify the host connector, voltage, pin 1, drive select, cable, and mounting before connection. The manual specifies at least 300 mA and a 500 mA maximum figure. The firmware reads and writes supported images but does not reproduce variable-bit-rate protection completely; IPF and STX support is partial.

The original GPL-3.0 hardware, firmware, Atari-side software, documentation, and source remain public. Its 2009 documentation specifies cards up to 2 GB with FAT16, while the repository also contains a later 2012 SDHC-supporting source revision; match the firmware, media setup, and documentation deliberately. The NUXX archive is frozen as of 2020 and says its function is identical to original SDrive, but adds a different PCB, enclosure, connector options, and optional STK200-style parallel-port programmer. No current assembled seller was verified.

Discontinued SD-card mass-storage device for Commodore PET computers with an IEEE-488 bus.

Manufacturing and new orders ended on 2021-02-01. The project still publishes hardware notes, a parts list, assembly instructions, firmware, and user documentation, but a complete current PCB-fabrication package was not verified. Look for a used unit or an original board or kit.

Replaces the RC2014 CompactFlash storage module with microSD for CP/M 2.2.

Current kits are offered for Standard or Enhanced Bus, with the surface-mount microSD socket loose or preinstalled. The Standard Bus version needs the supplied jumper lead to connect /WAIT to the CPU module. The vendor page says RomWBW support is forthcoming, so this record only claims CP/M 2.2 support.

Retro Electronics listed one assembled Option B Pi1541 Hat in stock on 2026-07-25. The Hat is the only supplied part; add a supported Raspberry Pi, SD card, serial cable, legal drive ROM, quality USB cable, and at least a 2.5 A power supply. The official project does not support Raspberry Pi 4 or 5.

Upstream describes SCSI2SD V5 and V6 as permanently retired. SamplerZone nevertheless exposed an Add to Cart path for a cased v5.5 at $129.95 on 2026-07-27, including configured microSD media and optional HD50 or Centronics-50 adapters. Treat v5.1 as a used-market mechanism upgrade and confirm reseller fulfillment for v5.5. The documentation hub lists v4.8.4 from 2019 as the latest firmware for both versions. V5.5 has fixed termination and must be last on its chain; hosts without DB-25 termination power need USB power.

Family of IEC storage devices that lets supported Commodore computers access files and disk images on SD or other removable media.

Retro Lemon listed its user-port-powered C64, C128, VIC-20, and SX-64 variant in stock at GBP 34.17 on 2026-07-27, and Sordan exposed a current Buy now path for its combined SD2IEC and Tapecart variant. PolyPlay's plain external Sordan Micro device and Retro Electronics' internal board were out of stock, while the RetroFletch backplane seller was on a break. A complete open C64 SD2IEC LP hardware build is also available. Variant power, connectors, controls, and firmware configuration differ. The official firmware site says 0.x firmware is obsolete and warns that newer-dated bootloaders are not necessarily safer or better.

Lotharek exposed a login-or-register-to-buy path for SD Drive Mini on 2026-07-27, and Retro Lemon also listed it with pricing. It plugs directly into SIO, uses a FAT32 microSD card and SDRIVE.ATR, and provides two buttons plus LEDs for selecting four drive slots. The separate open SDrive-Simple-II build still requires PCB assembly, ATmega328P programming, and an internal SIO connection. Its documented firmware supports cards up to 32 GB and ATR and XEX files, but not CAR, ROM, ATX, XFD, or CAS files, and it has no control for swapping disks in a multi-disk title. The former SDriveXEL assembled source and exact public build package remain unavailable.

Adds cartridge-based CompactFlash or SD storage, SpartaDOS X, a real-time clock, and loader functions to Atari 8-bit systems.

Lotharek marks both generations discontinued. SIDE2 needs at least 128 KB for its FDISK workflow, and full ATR loading requires Ultimate 1MB. Some systems need a faster 74F08 or buffered O2 timing path. Lotharek ended SIDE3 sales because it could not supply firmware that worked reliably across all computers; Revision 3.2 uses a Gowin FPGA, needs its matching firmware and programming path, and does not accept the older CPLD updates. Identify the exact hardware and firmware revision before buying or flashing a used cartridge.

Emulates Atari 8-bit disk drives from SD or MMC cards through the SIO port.

Lotharek offered the Biggus Dickus, metal-cased XL and XE, and color variants through login-to-buy paths on 2026-07-27. The metal-cased versions include an SIO cable, while the base Biggus Dickus listing includes neither cable nor SD card; other listings bundle those accessories with the same hardware. The official project also publishes Eagle schematics and boards plus firmware, making a DIY path possible. Upstream firmware reached 3.3 in 2023, while Lotharek says its assembled versions use customized 3.1 RC2 firmware, so do not assume identical features without checking the installed version.

The project README linked a current assembled eBay listing on 2026-07-27 and also publishes a complete build path. An innoelement assembled variant showed six units on Tindie, but that page simultaneously displayed a shipping rate and said it did not ship to the United States; confirm checkout availability before relying on it. Match the board revision, bootloader, and firmware: bootloader 0.15 has an Apple IIgs SmartPort problem, and boards older than Revision 3 need a trace modification for Apple IIc or IIgs use. Use a quality FAT32 SD card with 32 KB clusters. Never connect an ST-Link programmer while either USB or the Apple II powers the board.

The standalone PowerMonster, AztecMonster, and SusanoMonster pages exposed current Add to cart controls on 2026-07-24. The external PowerMonster with BakMonolith kit was out of stock. Mac OS installations need suitable third-party formatting software. Hot swapping works only when the host operating system supports removable media and may require explicit unmount and mount operations.

Older TOS versions can be slower or unsafe with DOS-compatible media, and some Atari DMA circuits or modern high-capacity card pairs need the documented troubleshooting or clock-capacitor fix.
