Builds a PET 4032-compatible mainboard from modular CS/A65 processor, PET I/O, and video cards.

No assembled seller or current PCB supplier was verified. A build needs three or four CS/A65 cards, a backplane, components, a programmed ROM, a case, a display or video-interface circuit, and a power supply. PETCPU revision 1.1B publishes board files but its layout is marked untested; the current VDC and PETIO pages publish later revisions marked okay, while the replica instructions date from 2010.

ConsoleMAD listed one original cartridge-only unit at GBP 24 on 2026-07-30; it was missing its label. RavenWolf's tested USD 12 cartridge was sold out and had been recovered from a workshop with harsh long-term storage conditions. Treat every offer as an individual used item. The HES software and manual remain copyrighted, so this record does not present an unlicensed ROM download as a DIY route.

A2Heaven showed two Apple IIe firmware options and one Apple IIgs option in stock on 2026-07-24. ReActiveMicro also exposed assembled and kit selectors for its licensed reproduction. Select the correct DDT8 or DDT16 firmware; IIgs use requires the appropriate support logic.

Adds an Apple II-compatible environment to an IBM PC through an ISA expansion card.

The author provides complete design and fabrication files but does not sell the board. This is a large full-length card with programmed logic, RAM and ROM parts, and several required cable assemblies. It also needs the original Quadlink software disk images and DOS. The clone has been tested only in an IBM 5150; the 5160 is expected to work but remains untested by the author, and faster ISA systems may fail because the software may contain CPU-dependent timing loops.

Recreates an expandable Apple-1-compatible computer as either a compact single board or a set of functional cards on a backplane.

The GPL-3.0 repository supplies KiCad design files, fabrication exports, schematics, bills of materials, firmware, and assembly guidance. Builders must fabricate boards, source components, solder the computer, program its EEPROM, and load the Arduino Nano interface software. Supply a 1 A Micro USB power source, composite display, and compatible keyboard; USB keyboards require an adapter. The kit is intended for builders with intermediate soldering knowledge. Some systems powered by supplies with isolated grounds can suffer recurring slash characters and line feeds; the support wiki documents grounding, firmware, resistor, and capacitor remedies.
