Sold outChecked Jul 24, 2026AppleSqueezer GSby Niek van Suchtelen

Combines a 14 MHz 65816 accelerator, 14 MB memory expansion, HDMI output, RAM disk, and SD-backed drives for the Apple IIgs.

The regular AppleSqueezer GS v2 listing was out of stock on 2026-07-24. A separate preorder tile remained visible, but an active preorder order path was not verified; check the shop or mailing list for another production run.

Build itChecked Jul 27, 2026Micro-PETby Andre Fachat

Recreates several Commodore PET models on a modern single board with a faster 65816, expanded memory, color VGA graphics, USB input, and SD storage.

No current assembled seller was verified. Revision 3.0A has public GPL-3.0 hardware files, but it is an advanced build with fine-pitch surface-mount parts, separately programmed FPGA and boot firmware, and dependencies across several repositories. The family documentation warns that boards, bills of materials, and firmware are moving to newer video timing and says to contact the maker before building.

Build itChecked Jul 25, 2026PET816 Acceleratorby Andre Fachat

Replaces a socketed 6502 with a W65816 running at up to 10 MHz, backed by fast RAM and programmable flash ROM.

The project publishes Eagle board and schematic files, VHDL and CPLD binaries, test software, and GPLv2-licensed documentation, but no current assembled seller was verified. Revision 1.2b is marked 'ok'; older revisions are prototypes. Building it depends on older Xilinx ISE-era tooling or a compatible programming path, two programmed flash devices, and a socketed host CPU. The author's 10 MHz timing uses 55 ns SRAM outside its rated access time; his burn-in test passed, but builders should not treat that result as a component guarantee.

AvailableChecked Jul 24, 2026ProDev DDT8 and DDT16by ProDev, Inc.; ReActiveMicro and A2Heaven reproductions

Provides hardware-assisted assembly-language tracing and debugging for the Apple IIe and Apple IIgs.

A2Heaven showed two Apple IIe firmware options and one Apple IIgs option in stock on 2026-07-24. ReActiveMicro also exposed assembled and kit selectors for its licensed reproduction. Select the correct DDT8 or DDT16 firmware; IIgs use requires the appropriate support logic.

PreorderChecked Jul 24, 2026ReActiveMicro TransWarp GSby ReActiveMicro, based on Applied Engineering TransWarp GS

Recreates and modernizes the TransWarp GS accelerator for ROM 01 and ROM 03 Apple IIgs systems.

The current page described a presale and warned that IC shortages could delay delivery on 2026-07-24. ReActiveMicro reports ROM 01 and ROM 03 testing; it does not claim ROM 00 support. Faster oscillators increase stability and cooling demands.

Build itChecked Jul 27, 2026Ulti-PETby Andre Fachat

Builds an integrated modern PET-compatible computer with selectable PET models, accelerated operation, enhanced color video, storage, audio, and current input.

No current assembled seller was verified. Revision 1.3A has public GPL-3.0 hardware files, but a build requires fine-pitch surface-mount assembly, separate FPGA and ROM projects, and programmed devices. The family documentation warns that boards, bills of materials, and firmware are moving to newer video timing and says to contact the maker before building.
