The assembled card was out of stock on 2026-07-24. It is Mockingboard-A compatible but does not provide speech synthesis.

Connects an original or modern replacement SID module to an RC2014.

No SID is included in the base module, although the current listing offers a SwinSID option and a separate 8580 adapter. The main socket directly supports a 6581, SwinSID variants, and ARMSID; an 8580 requires the adapter.

Adds an onboard emulation of the MOS 6581 or 8580 SID sound chip.

Surface-mount parts arrive assembled, programmed, and tested; the builder completes the through-hole kit. The default is 8580 emulation, changed to 6581 with a solder bridge. Paddle inputs and the SID voice-3 read registers are not emulated, and a decorative DIP28 chip is not included.

Emulates a YM2149, AY-3-8910, or AY-3-8912 without requiring an original sound chip.

Current kits select an emulated chip and clock frequency. The module supports the RomWBW PLAYER program and existing BASIC examples, but does not emulate the original chips' GPIO ports. A cosmetic DIP40 cover is optional.

Adds three-channel YM2149 or AY-3-8910 sound and stereo line output to an RC2014.

The current Z80 Kits version is sold without a YM or AY sound chip because those parts are no longer manufactured. The builder must obtain a suitable chip. An optional ZXTT module supplies a 1.7734 MHz clock.
