DiscontinuedChecked Jul 27, 20266502 Plus/4 CPU and RAM Moduleby Lotharek

Replaces the CPU in Commodore 264-series computers and can add 512 KB of Hannes-compatible expanded memory.

Lotharek marks the module discontinued. CPU-only use requires correct pin-1 orientation and a compatible socket or safe desoldering. Enabling the 512 KB expansion is invasive: remove the original DRAM and connect CAS to pin 15 on an eight-chip, 1-bit layout or pin 16 on a two-chip, 4-bit layout. Confirm the exact motherboard, CPU package, memory layout, and software's Hannes banking support before buying or installing a used module.

AvailableChecked Jul 28, 2026A501 Reduxby Lotharek

Adds 512 KB of trapdoor RAM and a real-time clock to an Amiga 500 on a compact newly made board.

The product page exposed a login-or-register-to-buy path on 2026-07-27 but supplies only the Amiga 500 purpose, 512 KB capacity, RTC function, and photographs. Human visual review confirms that it plugs into the trapdoor expansion. The RTC chip, backup-cell design, clock setup, memory mapping, motherboard and Agnus limits, and Amiga 500 Plus behavior remain unpublished, so the catalog retains only the exact Amiga 500 relationship.

Check statusChecked Jul 30, 2026BeamRacerby Mad Hackers Lab

VIC-II socket video coprocessor that adds programmable display effects, 512 KB of local memory, and integrated video cleanup to a C64.

The official project page remains online, but its Buy now area exposed no price, stock state, or working order destination on 2026-07-30. The last seller route found during this pass returned 404, and human review found no replacement seller, so confirm a current source before planning a purchase. BeamRacer also includes Lumafix Pro, software control of the HMOS-II gray-dot effect, a direct VideoMod connection, USB-C firmware updates, and the optional VBASIC development environment. Some narrow C64C boards may require a nearby capacitor to be resoldered for case clearance.

AvailableChecked Jul 27, 2026BISON FPGA DivMMC TurboSound 2xAYby Lotharek

Combines DivMMC-compatible microSD storage, 512 KB of expansion RAM, dual-AY audio, DAC modes, and configurable joystick or mouse input on the ZX expansion bus.

The seller exposed a login-or-register-to-buy path on 2026-07-27 and documented firmware 1.5. Power off before changing the edge connection or input mode. Automatic Sinclair-versus-Amstrad selection depends on 9 V at edge pin 3B; compatible clones without that signal need the documented modification. Firmware updates require a separate Gowin programmer and removal of the flash ROM. Prepare a separate FAT32 microSD card with the supported ESXDOS release.

AvailableChecked Jul 27, 2026CPC 6128 512 KB Memory Moduleby Lotharek

Adds 512 KB of SRAM to an Amstrad CPC 6128 or CPC 6128 Plus through the Z80 CPU footprint.

The Lotharek page exposed a login-or-register-to-buy path on 2026-07-27. The CPU must be removed or desoldered, the module fitted in its place, and the CPU installed on the module. Confirm pin-1 orientation, socket quality, board clearance, and the computer's condition before beginning the invasive installation.

AvailableChecked Jul 24, 2026Franklin Ace 2x00 512 KB RAM Boardby Joe's Computer Museum

Recreates the original 512 KB memory expansion for Franklin Ace 2x00 computers.

Human review confirmed that Board Only, Kit, and Fully Assembled variants could all be ordered on 2026-07-24. The page does not say that Board Only includes components; only the kit and assembled options are stated to include the full 512 KB. The board is fully tested in a Franklin Ace 2200; the broader page claim is Franklin Ace 2x00.

Build itChecked Jul 24, 2026GW4405A 512 KB VRAM SIMMby Garrett's Workshop

Open 512 KB 68-pin Macintosh VRAM SIMM built with new 80 ns or faster memory.

The assembled Tindie module was out of stock on 2026-07-24 and had been sold out since May 5, 2024. Schematics and board files remain available for commercial and noncommercial use. A 512 KB module can replace a 256 KB module where the connector is compatible, but that machine will use only 256 KB; never mix capacities within one VRAM bank.

AvailableChecked Jul 27, 2026Jurassic Computing 512 KB VRAM SIMMsby Jurassic Computing

Newly made, assembled 512 KB 68-pin Macintosh VRAM SIMMs in standard and low-latency 70 ns or 70/60 ns variants.

On 2026-07-27, the blue 70 ns module was $29 with one left, while the fast 70/60 ns page was listed at $29 with a latency selector and no out-of-stock marker. The original $25 PurpleRAM version had been sold out since December 16, 2024. The seller said economy shipping from France to the United States was suspended and exposed only an expedited $50 route on the blue listing.

AvailableChecked Jul 27, 2026KRAKEN ZX Spectrum MultiCloneby Lotharek

A current ZX Spectrum-compatible motherboard for an original 48K or Spectrum+ case, with real and FPGA Z80 modes, 512 KB of RAM, enhanced video, and extensive audio.

The assembled and tested Revision 1.5C motherboard exposed an order path on 2026-07-27. It requires a separate original 48K or Spectrum+ case, keyboard membrane, video cable, display, and 9 V AC or DC supply rated for at least 400 mA with the documented 2.5/5.1 mm plug. Power polarity does not matter. Lotharek separately sells its 9 V, 1.5 A PWR4 for KRAKEN, without a country-specific mains lead. The page's layout drawing shows Revision 1.5B, which differs slightly. External DivMMC or DivIDE hardware may not work in turbo modes.

AvailableChecked Jul 29, 2026Shareware Plus GeoRAM 512Kby Shareware Plus

Adds 512 KB of bank-switched geoRAM-compatible cartridge memory to a Commodore 64 or 128.

The Shareware Plus page was updated on 2026-01-01 and says the cartridge is in stock by email order. Protovision also maintains a current product listing, but its extracted page does not expose a stock or checkout control. This is geoRAM memory, not an REU; software must explicitly support the geoRAM interface.

AvailableChecked Jul 24, 2026SMC 512 KB VRAM SIMMby Infinity Products

512 KB 68-pin Macintosh VRAM module sold in a premium 60 ns design and a limited early four-chip design.

The premium 60 ns module and the final red clearance modules were listed on 2026-07-24. The purple early-production modules were sold out with no planned rerun. Modules are sold individually; systems with two sockets require two purchases.
